Marie is always pitching stories to editors, is relentless at finding local stories with a global appeal and has a history of meeting deadlines. She is passionate about capturing the dignity of ordinary people and produces narratives about their trials and triumphs dealing with Africa’s systemic problems. Her storytelling expertise gives a human face to issues in Africa.
Marie has worked on various formats- human interest articles for the web, video feature stories, documentaries and creating online content for companies.
She has also produced a feature-length documentary funded by the International Women’s Media Foundation.
With over 5 years experience working as an independent journalist, she holds a BA in Print and Electronic Media Communication from Daystar University and a Higher Diploma in Television and Film production from the prestigious Mohammed Amin Foundation.
