Admin Posted January 20, 2022 Share Posted January 20, 2022 Organization: International Women's Initiative Closing date: 28 Feb 2022 SPANISH LANGUAGE PODCAST HOST OVERVIEW The Spanish Language Podcast Host and Coproducer is a highly collaborative, creative storyteller obsessed with building community around their show. The host works closely with producers, researchers and editors to make original, on demand content for diverse audiences. As host and coproducer they participate in all aspects of production of the podcast including generating ideas for episodes, conducting interviews, writing and reporting, anchoring the podcast and supporting the production of content under the podcast brand across platforms. The host will have a passion and expertise for the area of focus and serves as a public representative of the show externally. IWI strives to challenge the status quo by consistently looking beyond the quantitative. To be most successful at IWI, you must be organized, creative, and confident to produce projects that honor the women and girls IWI serve. JOB DESCRIPTION o Supports the development of the overarching narrative and creative framework of your podcast; o Helps write podcast and contributes regularly with original text, interviews and other content as assigned; o Develops and executes ideas for episodes, written posts, and digital extras across platforms; o Conceives, proposes, plans and researches ideas for their podcast, live events, and additional digital content; o Participates and helps guide editorial meetings, suggesting ideas for stories, guests, and new approaches to telling stories; o Engages with the audience through social media when appropriate; o Works with social media team to maximize community impact; o Ensure that all stories comply with IWI’s standards and practices; o Conducts interviews and works with editors to gather other audio elements for podcast production; o Will evaluate together with the team, what went good and what went bad, and use this to improve the process so that previous experiences leads to a team that stays happy and productive; o Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS o Must be native Spanish speaker yet fluent in English as well; o Located in a South American country or North America strongly preferred; o Experience working collaboratively with creative and editorial talent; o A passion for creating excellent content; o Must be creative, have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to multi-task; o Strong organizational and time management skills; o Strong and clear communication style; o Ability to meet all deadlines with minimal supervision; o Have high energy and thrives on creating disruptive efforts in media, yet at the same time understands how data/tech drive public awareness, change and business; o Motivates team and encourage innovation and creativity throughout all projects by serving as a role model within the team; o Help build a flexible and competent team, all committed to their work with IWI; o Plan deadlines, and make sure they are not missed; o Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, and the ability to work remotely and independently as part of a team; o Desire to work in a women’s human rights environment.
