Jonathan R
The Africa-China Reporting Project in the journalism department at Wits University in Johannesburg provides grants for stories that add to the Africa-China debate. The grants are generally worth between $300-$1,500 for travel and accommodation and similar costs involved in reporting the story. Articles written with the support of these grants have included one on Ghana's bauxite boom that appeared in Foreign Policy Magazine here, or one on Huawei’s surveillance tech in Kenya, that appeared in Africa Times. To find out more about these grants visit the Africa China Reporting Project.
