The Social Media Officer will:

· Develop, write, create, and produce creative, engaging vaccination social media collateral, in sync with various partners on the ground

· Create up-to-date, clear, and engaging images, graphs, and updates for use on social media and by other media outlets.


Founded in 2001 as a coalition of Israeli organizations working in disaster relief and international development, IsraAID has grown into an independent NGO and the largest humanitarian aid organization in Israel. From earthquakes and hurricanes to epidemics and forced displacement, IsraAID has been at the forefront of responding to major humanitarian crises worldwide. We have worked in more than 50 countries and at any one time have around 300 staff members worldwide.


Social Media & Graphic Design

· Develop creative, inspiring, and innovative social media vaccination campaign materials such as: video, photographs, written posts, and influencer collateral.

· Create real-time graphics for use in social media and in other media outlets to share information quickly, such as where vaccinations are available and who is eligible to vaccinate

· Research social media communication trends, monitors, and reviews comments and conversations on social media sites looking for opportunities for engagement. Liaises and consults with colleagues for appropriate actions.

· Advise for the best practices, and accessibility in the Eswatini National Vaccination Rollout at social media

· Identifies and assesses potential opportunities for IsraAID Eswatini to use social media tools to enhance the scope, versatility, and breadth of communication; and makes recommendations for their integration.


· Represent IsraAID and maintain regular contact with relevant partners

· Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team and ensure a good flow of communication.

· Have a thorough understanding of the mission and regional contexts.

· Raise the profile of IsraAID and its work

· Perform other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

· Understanding of and commitment to the following principles: cultural sensitivity, local ownership, sustainability, inclusiveness, local partnership, non-discriminatory, do-no-harm, and apolitical approach; codes of conduct against sexual exploitation and abuse; and against child exploitation and modern slavery.

· Commitment to abide by IsraAID´s codes of conduct and security policies.


· At least 1 year of experience in social media, with a strong understanding of how to cross-post and leverage engagement through partnerships and collaborations

· At least 1 year of experience in basic graphic design skills—preferably with Canva

· Impeccable communication abilities, creative thinker, and self-motivated worker

· Excellent English writing

· Quick and motivated worker

· Highly reliable, able to consistently meet tight deadlines
