Admin Posted August 14, 2021 Share Posted August 14, 2021 Country: Sudan Organization: Save the Children Closing date: 28 Aug 2021 The Opportunity The Campaign and Communications Coordinator in his/her capacity will be responsible for providing leadership to ensure excellence in our public and private facing for the Sudan's Family Support Program (SFSP). S/he will support the efforts of sensitization and awareness around the SFSP to ensure that communities can access the program's objectives and eligibility criteria. The post holder will also support in developing and implementation of all advocacy, communication and media work related to the program, such as entitlements, rights, and modalities to be disseminated through; mass communications using radio, TV, newspaper, posters, megaphone, mobile SMS, mosques, and market places be used. The post holder will be responsible for the design, planning and implementation of all communication, advocacy and media aspects related to SFSP in close coordination with the Heal of Advocacy, Communication, Campaigns and Media Unit. He/She will lead the documentation and communication of lessons learnt and good practice, from implementing programs to various users. The position holder will ensure a consistent and effective flow of information pertaining to Save the Children's activities, keeping relevant teams up-to-date on all developments internally and externally. The post holder will carry out his/her responsibilities in line with Save the Children's vision, country strategic plan, and principle of Child Right Programming. In order to be successful, you will bring/have: Essential Degree in Social Science, Development, Journalism or equivalent experience of 2 years. At least 2 years of experience in undertaking advocacy media and communication initiatives in humanitarian and development contexts. Proven experience in analyzing the situation of children using the child rights programming / principles framework. Demonstrated ability to offer creative practical and effective solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to produce good quality documents and information for a variety of audiences. Strong inter-organizational skills such including networking and negotiation. Willing and able to travel regularly to field offices to support field teams as security permits. Strong computer skills to produce advocacy documents as well as document and communicate good practices. High level of fluency in English and Arabic in both verbal and written required. Desirable Strong analytical and drafting skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work autonomously and in a multi- cultural environment. Good communication, planning, and negotiation skills. Ability to liaise with a diverse range of people and stakeholders. High level of attention to detail and quality. Good organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines. Ability to work in a team. Post graduate degree in communications and media will be an added advantage.
