Requirements

Education:

• Advanced university degree preferably in communications or journalism, or anther closely related field, such as graphic design or media management is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in related field with additional two years of experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advance university degree.

Experience:

• At least 2 years of professional experience in the field of communications, graphic design, journalism, website moderation or media management is required.

• At least 2 years of experience actively managing and facilitating online communication and learning platforms such as Mail Chimp and Go-To-Webinar or Zoom to communicate virtually in multiple languages is required.

• Experience with graphic design and publishing programmes such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign or equivalent, and the ability to use them to develop and edit content for websites, documents, publications, virtual classrooms email or social media is required.

Desirable experience (the following experience are optional, candidates who do not have it are welcome to apply):

• Experience in developing and implementing online communication strategies at the institutional level is required, but preference to development of projects with a global scope and/or that focus on sustainable development, environmental and/or biodiversity issues is preferred.

• Experience with UNDP or a related organization is an advantage.

Languages:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is required.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Spanish is required.

• Knowledge of additional languages, in particular UN languages, is an advantage.
