Admin Posted October 22, 2020 Share Posted October 22, 2020 Country: Somalia Organization: African Network for the Prevention and Protection against Child Abuse and Neglect Closing date: 31 Oct 2020 ANPPCANSOM is seeking to hire the information and Communications Technology (ICT) Manager in capturing the impact of the organization for all internal and external communications in the form of designs and collaterals. The information and Communications Technology (ICT) Manager develops, maintains and produces a variety of promotional and educational material, website, multimedia graphics, and audio/video productions to support organizational needs. He/she will manage organizational websites and oversee the functionality of the websites, evaluate and manage website performance, facilitate hosting and server management, and develop, maintain and update website content.** RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Graphic Design, Documentation and Data Management: i. Implement all types of graphic design work including reports, publications, posters, brochures, flyers, logos, banners, and multi-media creatives; ii. Design promotional materials for disseminating within the organization and throughout the country as well as external stakeholders; iii. Organize photo shoot, photography editing, photo re-touching and ensure producing high resolution and high-quality photos; iv. Coordinate and review production activities with printing companies, service agencies, advertisers, and vendors on quality of final product before release; v. Tailor content in different formats to optimize experience and overall impact; vi. Illustrate concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size and style for approval; vii. Document and report information required for programme report analysis; viii. Designing and of backgrounds, billboards, brochures and promotional materials; ix. Create and maintain photo/video database and success stories of the organization; x. Develop audio- video productions of beneficiaries that can be shared among the key stakeholders; 2. Website Management and Networking i. Create appropriate website content aligned to ANPPCANSOM’s strategy; ii. Operate and maintain ANPPCAN-SOM websites and social media outlets; iii. Ensure full compliance on the websites with all rules and regulations; media, government, donor and ANPPCANSOM; iv. Keep up-to-date with day-to-day’s industry’s best practice and monitor competitor websites; v. Develop and maintain a database of the media houses or media personnel to support ANPPCANSOM branding; vi. Coordinate with outside agencies, art services, web designers, printing agencies, and colleagues as necessary to bring more change into ANPPCANSOM; vii. Create strategies to grow subscriber base and web traffic metrics; 3. Education and Experience i. Bachelor s degree qualification in IT, Visual Communication, Graphics Design, Multimedia e or degree in related field; ii. Extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDraw and InDesign, specifically with web design and multimedia presentation; iii. Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript, Layout and publishing specialist with creative design ability; iv. 3+ years at a Creative/ Branding/ Digital Agency or in professional commercial design, preferably with a development organization; v. Excellent Desktop Publishing skills with design and photo-editing software; vi. Understanding of website content management systems (CMS) and technology infrastructures using Firewalls, Web-Proxy and Adobe suite; vii. Comfortable troubleshooting the website and able to constantly improve the User Experience (UX) of the website; viii. Highly proficient in HTML, XHTML, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, Access, mySQL and JavaScript; ix. Understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Paid Per Click (PPC); x. Experience and expertise in Graphics, Animation, Web Page Editing, Photoshop, Corel Draw, Cut Pro, and Sketch & In Vision; 4. Competencies Required i. Strong background on website development and management, Graphic Design, Documentation and Data Management is plus and added advantage; ii. Outstanding problem-solving skills, attention to detail with analytical mind; iii. Excellent content creation and writing skills; iv. Ability to communicate clearly with strong background in content creation; v. Knowledge of design and rapid prototyping tools, like Sketch and In Vision; vi. Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately within all required aspects of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator); vii. Highly conceptual thinking in both digital and visual design; viii. Good communication & project handling techniques; ix. Fantastic time management skills with the ability to multi-task; x. Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Somali added advantage; ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The job duties and responsibilities as set out above are not exhaustive and the post holder may be required to carry out additional duties within reasonableness of their level of skills and experience.
