(odi.org) This is a great opportunity to play a vital role in the institute, effectively delivering public affairs communications activity, including publications and events, to increase the impact of ODI’s research and programmes. You will use your excellent project management and communications skills to deliver a variety of outputs to a high standard. The main purpose of this role is to increase the impact on policy and practice of two large-scale, multi-year projects through the delivery of first-class communications support, including engaging with target audiences, supporting key partnerships and leveraging outreach opportunities. Main duties and responsibilities • Work with each project manager to develop and implement a strategic approach to communications. • Work with each project manager, and in-country partners as necessary, to maintain a working knowledge of the key audiences for the projects’ outputs. • Project manage the delivery of key publications from each of the projects. • Coordinate and deliver a range of events, both in the UK and in other countries. • Identify reactive opportunities to further the projects’ aims and coordinate effective responses (such as media work, public affairs activities and opinion pieces). • Effectively monitor, evaluate and learn from communications approaches. • Coordinate internal communications around the project outputs/activities. • Work with each project manager to support effective client relationship management. • Support and advise project researchers on communications to build their capacity where necessary.
