The HelpAge global network is made up of over 150 organisations working in over 85 countries to support older people and promote their rights, supported by more than 20 national and regional HelpAge International Hubs. The HelpAge International Africa Hub is based in Nairobi, Kenya from where we reach out to help older people across Africa through our offices in Ethiopia, Mozambique, Tanzania and Uganda, and through more than 50 HelpAge global network members in 26 countries. In Africa, we help and empower older people and support them to have secure incomes by advocating for pensions and providing livelihoods support. We ensure older people access the health services they need. We fight for older people's needs and rights to be placed right at the heart of policy and legislation. HelpAge International seeks to hire a Communications Officer on fixed term basis, to support work in the Africa Regional Hub in line with the specifications in the Terms of Reference. The temporary position will be based in Nairobi for an initial period of 6 months. Work at HelpAge International will expose qualified applicants to communications and other aspects of development and humanitarian work.
